Resumo

This first part deals with an integrated stratigraphic profile of the Malanzan-Loma Larga zone, and a geological map is included for geographical and stratigraphic reference of the palynological samples studied. The sporomorphs described correspond to the following members of the Malanzan Formation: Divisoria, Estratos Carbonosos and Conglomerado Amarillo Verdoso a Violado, aged between the Namurian and the Westphalian. The three assemblages studied include a total of seventy-six species. This paper describes fourty-six forms comprised in nineteen genera which correspond to acavate spores with levigated and apiculate exine. Eighteen of them are new: Leiotriletes tenuis, Punctatisporites pseudofoveosus, Punctatisporites genuinas, Punctatisporites trivialis, Punctatisporites humilis, Punctatisporites irrcgularis, Calamospora magnifica, Retusotriletes indignus, Cyclogranisporites australis, Anapiculatisporites argentinensis , Lophotriletes intermedias, Lophotriletes ? modicus, Pustulatisporites excentricus, Apiculiretusispora tuberculata, Apiculatasporites paruiapiculatus, Acanthotriletes? plicatus, Raistrickia paganciana, and Raistrickia rotunda.
