Religion and Society in Latin America

This article approaches the foundation and development of the Baptist Church in the city of Tres Lagoas. The first part presents a brief history of the city and startup of the first Protestant congregation in that region: the Baptist congregation. The second part discusses the relationship of Baptists and Catholics of the city. The third part points to the social contribution of Protestants for the development of Tres Lagoas.
