ResumoAbstract A new polynucleotide helix stabilized by three interbase hydrogen bonds has been prepared and investigated. The additional hydrogen bond possible in the complex between poly-2-aminoadenylic acid and polyuridylic acid leads to an increase of 25° in Tm or approximately half the increase attributed to the third hydrogen bond in guanosine-cytosine pairs.
