ResumoThe catalytic behavior in gas phase hydroxylation of benzene to phenol with nitrous oxide on Fe-(Al)MFI zeolites prepared by different methods is reported. The amount of iron, thermal treatment, presence of aluminium ions and method of iron addition to the zeolite are all important parameters which determine the catalyst life time as well as the selectivity and productivity to phenol. Control of these parameters make it possible to improve the catalyst life-time and productivity to phenol.
