ResumoThe following article deals with the way in which the fantastic is presented in Streak of Chalk by Miguelanxo Prado, through the irruption of a temporal anomaly that questions the order of the world elaborated in the plot. Through the analysis of common representations of the fantastic in comics, especially in literary adaptations, this work aims to observe how it is introduced in Prado’s comic to establish the conflict between the extraordinary event and our idea of reality, fundamental to the construction of the fantastic. Thus, considering that in comics realism is constructed in a particular way, this article also studies the elements Prado uses to produce it to facilitate a way for the fantastic to emerge on a hybrid medium that often seems unable to present it.
