Resumo

The problem of post-fumigation reinfestation of maize stores by Tribolium castaneum (Herbst) and Ephestia (Cadra) cautella (Walker) has been examined. By trapping flying adults in two warehouses it has been possible to demonstrate that sufficient insects escape fumigation under gas-proof sheets by living in the fabric of the building that quick reinfestation is inevitable.
