Res. d'A. The present paper presents our conclusions following the study of mural paintings found in the Torre de las Damas at the Alhambra. These and another series of murals from other historical buildings in Granada (spain) dating from the same period, were closen for the purposes of developping a research project studying mural paintings completed during the Nasrid dynasty. Special attention was given to both the chemical and mineralogical composition of the various materials used in these paintings to determine the current state of material alteration as a basis for diagnosis for subsequent conservation
