ResumoThe novel tells the story of a bakers family, the Levy family: the parents Avraham e Sara, and their twin sons, Yaakov and Essav. This article analyzes the historical vision reflected in the novel by Meir Shalev, and the attempts to understand the nature of time. Moreover, the article seeks to define the place of the individual within the historical continuum, and his relationships with time.
