Resumo

Abstract A polarographic method of estimating of uranium, based on the reduction of its tripolyphosphate complex at the dropping mercury electrode, has been developed and applied to uraniferous tantaloniobates and monazite. In the presence of elements such as copper, iron and vanadium which interfere with the cathodic step of the uranyl complex, a preliminary separation as uranyl ammonium phosphate in presence of EDTA is necessary.
