ResumoOIFFERENTS BAITS AND ITS RELATION wrrH OVARlAN DEVELOPMENT FASES lN CALUPHORIDAE AND SARCOPIIAGIDAE (INSECTA, DIPTERA) .Attrativeness of differents baits (fish.faeces and banana) upon ovarian development fases ofCalliphoridae and Sarcophagidae was evaluated. The insects were captured in Distrito Federal (urban arca) and Rio de Janeiro city (bcach.zoological garden, lIrbanarea and Tijllca forest). The most frequent speeies captured were: Calliphoridae -Chrysomya megacephala (Fabricius, 1794) 78,9% and Ch,ysomya pllloria (Wiedemann, 1818) 5.4 % -and Sarcophagidae -Sarcophagllla Wulp, 18872,3% and Peckya ch,ysostoma (Wiedell1ann, 1830) 2,2%.Fish was more attractive to females of Calliphoridac fiies in intcnse ovarian vitelogenesis, although banana atracted more fiies with mature eggs.Faeecs and fish were more atractive for Sarcophagidac in the beggining of vitdogenesis.
