ResumoOne of the most common confusions than we observed in the care accomplished by the nurses, of the lesion vascular it the classification that commonly feels, of ulcer, without you differentiate her/it in arterial and veined, offering the same conducts goes the two. The characteristics of those lesions plows different and they should be recognized by the nurses alone that they can it traces the necessary diagnosis. The population of the study was composed by patient vascular disease with impaired skin integrity related the interruption partial or total of the arterial/veined flow and or interned in the vascular hospital in the “Instituto Dante Pazzanese de Cardiologia” of january to april of 1998, where it was verified the following characteristics in the ulcers: borders, depth, pain, size, alterations adjacent. The results they indicated that the veined lesions are superficial, extensive, with irregular and high border with edema presence and the arterial lesion was shown deep small, with regular and shallow border among other discoveries.
