Cultural Industries and Urban Development

Nowadays economic wealth and cultural value are considered two integrated and interacting factors. This viewpoint’s change has modified the ways and the contents of the relationships between culture and economy, thus passing from a substantial indifference to a concrete dialogue. For all these reasons the cultural goods have to appropriate the managerial principles. Indeed they are organized realities where different resources - human, technological, financial, etc. - operate and where a careful and responsible activity is necessary, in terms of assessment/enhancement and management. According to this perspective, the cultural goods need investments that are to be measured and weighted through specific criteria of evaluation, in terms of risk and profit.
