Its occurrence should be suspected in all cases of chest trauma even when no penetrating wound is present. The following case report illustrates the recognition of this cardiac injury. The fatal outcome, which may have been influenced in part by a delay in diagnosis, stimulates us to present this case in the hope of increasing the general alertness to the occurrence of severe cardiac injury...Bibliography1.
