Neste artigo vamos apresentar tres instrumentos que se destinam a analise da comunicacao assincrona ocorrida em ambientes virtuais de aprendizagem nomeadamente em redes sociais. Os referidos instrumentos destinam-se a avaliar os tres construtos teoricos que, segundo Garrison, Anderson e Archer (2000), determinam a ocorrencia de uma efectiva experiencia educativa em ambientes online: a presenca social, a presenca cognitiva e presenca de ensino. Para o efeito comecaremos por caracterizar os referidos conceitos prosseguindo com a apresentacao das grelhas de analise que desenvolvemos e validamos a partir dos instrumentos originais propostos pelos autores. Prosseguimos discutindo os resultados da aplicacao dos instrumentos a analise dos foruns de discussao de uma rede social, inventariando tanto as suas vantagens como os constrangimentos derivados da sua utilizacao. Esperamos dessa forma, contribuir para a melhoria dos processos de analise e avaliacao das aprendizagens em ambiente online. Abstract In this article we will introduce three instruments intended for the analysis of asynchronous communication in virtual learning environments, in particular in social networks. These instruments are meant to assess the three theoretical points that, according to Garrison, Anderson and Archer (2000), determine the occurrence of an effective educational experience in online environments: social presence, cognitive presence and presence of teaching. For this purpose we will start by characterizing those concepts, following with the presentation of our analysis grids and validated from original instruments proposed by the authors. Then, we will discuss the results of the implementation of the instruments to the analysis of the discussion forums of a social network, analyzing both its advantages and the constraints arising from their use. Therefore, we expect to contribute to the improvement of the processes of analysis and assessment of learning outcomes in online environment.
