Resumo

This atlas combines the cartographic qualities of an atlas with the background information of an encyclopedia and the analytical depth of a gazetteer. It is divided into four sections. The Today offers a global and historical overview of the state of the world. A comprehensive A-Z Nations of the World provides a detailed examination of the world's 192 countries. Global Issue identifies key themes that influence the shape of the modern world and presents them in the form of reference mapping and incisive analysis. Finally, an Index-Gazetteer provides a guide to the book, while providing practical information about the world's most important places.
