The cinema, responsible for spreading the visions of the world in the 20th century, is a valuable source for the historian’s reflection. In one sense, we carried out a film analysis of Lamarca (1994) trying to think about the options that the directors Sergio Rezende have chosen regarding the subject. This analysis helps us see in which sense the film get into the argument over the memory about the period of the Brazilian dictatorship of the sixties, specially the confrontation between the army and the guerrilla of the sixties and seventies of the late century.
