Statistical analyses were proportion ratio test, qui-square and Poisson regression. Among the students, 70% walked or cycled to school and more than 50% were inactive in the leisure time. The possibility to use passive transport (auto- mobile) was 60% greater in students who lived more than 20 minutes busy from school when compared to those who lived by less than 10 minutes, and it was eleven times greater for stu- dents of private schools than for public schools. No association between activities leisure time and the means of transportation. It was concludes that almost one third of the students dislo- cated passively to school and more than half sedentary activities in leisure time. It is suggested implementation of strategies a join effort among sports, health, education and transportation sectors are needed in order to evoke behavior changes to more active lifestyles.
