Resumo

The purpose of this text is to understand the cultural factors and changes that any organizational culture has, as well as characterizing the organizational culture of Chilean Third Sector organizations, and outlining the important changing processes that these cultures have experienced. For this reason, it starts defining what we understand as organizational culture and changes, paradoxes and contradictions that could arise, in a rigorous way.Next, the culture of three different non profit organizations aimed at giving services of general or common interest (Hogar de Cristo, Un techo para Chile y Cooperacion de Ayuda al Nino Quemado COANIQUEM) is analyzed and then, the case of a significant non profit organization aimed atmembership service (Mutual de seguridad de la Camara Chilena de la Construccion). Finally, looking at the analyzed cases, it draws a global evaluation of the changes made in organizational culture of the Chilean Third Sector, specially referred to the concept of achieving the goal and management methods.
