ResumoA study has been carried out in order to examine the correlation between the clinical diagnosis of the affected dental pulp and its corresponding histologic appearance. One hundred nine affected pulps from permanent teeth were extirpated after their clinical state was assessed. They were evaluated histologically, and the results were compared. Absolute correlation was found in 49.5 per cent of the cases, while 46.7 per cent showed only a partial correlation.
