It was studied the effect of visible blue light produced by a resin curing light photopolymerization device on the lip skin of rabbits. The animals were exposed to the light for several periods of time being the longest one as much as 180 days, 30 minutes daily. The results did not show harmful effects when the lip skin of treated animals was compared to that obtained from animals of the control group. Thus, based in our results, it was concluded that the rabbit lip skin exposure to the curing light of photopolymerization devices does not produce any deleterious effect in its morphology even after exposition of 30 minutes daily during 180 days.
