ResumoIn a study of Au(p,xn) reactions, the mercury isotope with mass number 190 was detected and separated by double deflection. The mass number was vcrified, and the decay of Hg/sup 190/ and of its daughter Au/sup 190/ was studied by following the evolution of the K radiation accompanying electron capture. Two periods of 21 er inch per 2 min and 45 er inch per 3 min were observed and assigned to Hg/sup 190/ and Au/sup 190/, respectlvely. The gamma radiation and the relative intensities are tabulated fcr both periods. (J.S.R.)
