Resumo

The spectral properties of small bells from China and Tibet are considered. The amplitude modulation of these bells is a characteristic part of their spectral evolution, and sometimes includes synchronized frequency modulation. Models are developed for three different bell types, and their Csound implementations are given. Listening tests show that these models are perceptually indistinguishable from the original tones.
