Resumo

Juan de Iriarte, the uncle of the fabulist Tomás Iriarte and Royal Librarian, is a man of considerable importance in the field of the production of the academic ortography, grammar and dictionary. The fact that majority of his work is in manuscript form and has been unknown for too long has meant that is has not received the scholarly attention which it deserves. There "Reparos al Diccionario Académico Corregido" are an example of his erudite activities.
