The literature was reviewed to determine the relative incidence of such a combination of "polyendocrinopathy." Striking was the great incidence of diabetes mellitus complicating acromegaly.1-5There were relatively few reports of the simultaneous occurrence of diabetes mellitus and diabetes insipidus,6-34and no well documented case with the combination of diabetes mellitus, diabetes insipidus and acromegaly. The rarity of reported cases of diabetes mellitus and diabetes insipidus, with or without acromegaly, and the fascinating physiologic implications of the relationship...Bibliography1.
