This article focuses the activities of Friends of St. James Way in Rio Grande do Sul Association (ACASARGS) which is a nonprofit organization that aims to promote and preserve St. James Way at that Brazilian estate, in roads that reproduce the difficulties and the daily distances in the Spanish route.Discussing some theoretical approaches that relate tourism to the practice of nonroutine activities, through an ethnographic narrative I suggest that ACASARGS activities change pilgrimage experience at St. James way into a routine out of Spain.
