ResumoThe composer has the ability of reading the invisible, as if he is listening to the vague language of our collective unconscious. He can prove the truth of his insights by the reception of the people, thousands of those who sing the poetry of his songs. Diving in the imaginary world of Brazilian Popular Music (BPM) is to know people’s fears and aspirations. It is also to bring out the deepest and the most hidden desires of them. It was made an attempted through the rich material that is our ‘MPB’ to understand old age, seeing how it is perceived by the society. The interpretative reading of the poems was done by using as reference the theory of the imagination of Gilbert Durand, the idea of the intuition of the moment from Gaston Bachelard and the theory of complexity from Edgar Morin.
