ResumoSince its inception in the late 1990’s, Google has done as much as anyone to create an "open internet." Thanks to Google’s unparalleled search algorithms, anyone’s ideas can be heard, and information (and vertical search services) of all kinds are easier than ever to find. In fact Google counted itself among the most vocal advocates of net neutrality. When people worried that ISPs would use their positions as gatekeepers to discriminate among content in pursuit of profits, Google stood tall as a champion of the little guy.
