ResumoThe first records of Histiotus macrotus (Chiroptera, Vespertilionidae) for Chubut Province, Argentina. The first records of Histiotus macrotus for Chubut Province, Argentinean Patagonia are reported here. Since November 2008 until February 2009, 24 specimens were collected in two localities in the northwest of Chubut: Ea. El Principio (42o 59' 27'' S 71o 24' 60'' W) and School of Welsh Language Ysgol Gymaraeg yr Andes (43o 05' 56'' S 71o 28' 26'' W). The geographic distribution of the species is extended 200 km south; additional information on its dietary habits is also reported. Palabras claves. Distribucion geografica. Habitos alimenticios.
