It has been the topic of occasional discussion and considerable confusion in European writings since its description by Morgagni.47Though the entity has not always been clearly defined, its notation may be recognized in the reports of numerous authors through the last century and a half, during which time it has been included in a number of craniopathies, and in several other named syndromes.
