Resumo

Objetiva-se analisar os impactos sociopoliticos e territoriais do Projeto Jari no municipio paraense de Almeirim, Baixo Amazonas. Especificamente, investigou-se como o subprojeto de Rizicultura intitulado Sao Raimundo ainda se faz notar nas realidades das populacoes das vilas existentes as margens do rio Arraiolos. Este estudo privilegia a interdisciplinaridade, devido a complexidade que envolve os processos economicos, politicos e aqueles relacionados a territorialidade e desterritorialidade das vilas do rio Arraiolos ao longo de sua historia. Enfatiza-se a pesquisa antropologica e historica, por considerar que o ponto de vista das populacoes caboclas que vivem junto a esse rio e fundamental para a compreensao de suas realidades atuais e preteritas. Evidenciou-se que foi desenvolvida nas margens do rio Arraiolos uma das maiores plantacoes de arroz do mundo e de alto rendimento e qualidade em terras inundaveis da Amazonia. Os impactos advindos com o projeto Sao Raimundo ainda se fazem sentir entre aqueles que habitam as vilas do rio Arraiolos. Principalmente, observam-se impactos sociopoliticos nas atuais configuracoes territoriais, nas Associacoes de Moradores (AM) e nas acoes dos grupos sociais com caracteristicas caboclas que la se encontram. Abstract: This article aims to analyze the sociopolitical and territorial impacts or Jari Project in the city of Almeirim, Para, Lower Amazon. Specifcally, we investigate how the subproject titled rice-growing St. Raymond still points out the realities of human populations of villages in the river Arraiolos. This study focuses on interdisciplinary approach, due to complexity involved in economic and political processes, and those related to territoriality and unterritoriality Arraiolos the river towns along its history. We emphasize the historical and anthropological research, considering that the point of view o “caboclo” population living along the river is critical to understanding their current and previous situations. It was evident that was developed on the banks of the river Arraiolos one of the largest rice plantations in the world and high yield and quality in these foodplains of the Amazon. The impacts of the project with St. Raymond are still being felt among those who inhabit the villages of the river Arraiolos. Mainly, there are impacts in current sociopolitical territorial confgurations, the Residents Association-RA, and actions of “caboclo” populations with characteristics that are there.
