ResumoThe Quequen Salado-Indio Rico Local. Fauna is described and studied. It includes nine taxa which remains are coming from the Guerrero Member of the Lujan Formation; these sediments are exposed in the Quequen Salado and Indio Rico river confluence (Coronel Dorrego county, Buenos Aires province). It is discussed its inclusion within the categories of the mammalian stratigraphy described for the Quaternary of the Argentine Pampean Region; moreover, the environmental characterization is analyzed through the following hypothesis: H1: The Quequen Salado-Indio Rico Local. Fauna is included in the Lujanian Land Mammal Unit (uppermost part of the late Pleistocene); H2: During the deposition of the bearing sediments ofthis Local Fauna (Guerrero Member of the Lujan Formation), the environmental conditions were arid or semiarid in almost all of the present bonarian territory; H.3: Mean temperatures lower than the present ones, were verified at the uppermost part of the late Pleistocene in the bonarian sector of Pampean Region; H.4: During the late Pleistocene almost all of the Buenos Aires province territory had faunal characteristics similar to the present Patagonia and Central Dominions
