Solid-state spectroscopy and crystallography

A series of gallosilicate, aluminogermanate and gallogermanate halide sodalites have been synthesised and subsequently characterised using powder diffraction, infra-red and magic angle spinning nuclear magnetic resonance spectroscopy. Correlations of structural parameters with the spectra demonstrate trends similar to those found with the aluminosilicate analogues.
