ResumoThe penis is a highly specialized organ. Its foreskin and mucosa have an ectodermic origin and may present normal variations, not always well understood by the physicians who have to face and resolve them. In this article, conditions such as aposthia and microposthia, senile angiokeratoma, cirsocele, Fordyce’s condition, phlebectasia, frenulum breve, Tyson’s glands, pearly penile papules, hyperpigmented and hypopigmented lesions, median raphe cysts, mucosal atrophy of glans, median line asymmetry and urethral septum are reviewed. This is an initial contribution to what might become “The Great Atlas” of normal variations of penis, which can be used to improve the comprehension of this very appreciated organ.
