ResumoThe authors describe the techniques employed in three patients with basilar artery aneurysms that were treated via the transoral transclival approach. To prevent the formation of cerebrospinal fluid fistulas and the risk of consequent meningitis, complete postoperative closure of the nasopharyngeal mucosa is essential. Long-term nasopharyngeal packing and continuous spinal drainage were found to be effective in these cases.
