Abstract 18‐O‐Methylchaenorpine ( 1a ) and iso‐18‐ O ‐methylchaenorpine ( 1b ) two novel stereoisomeric spermine alkaloids were isolated from the roots of Aphelandra tetragona (V AHL ) N EES. Their structures were established by chemical and spectroscopic studies.
