Parece-nos razoavel afirmar que este periodo, contrariamente a outros posteriores, nao constituiu um tempo de grandes mudancas no que respeita ao conteudo das pecas jornalisticas que foram sendo elaboradas em torno desta problematica, ainda que, pontualmente, se fizessem notar algumas opinioes diferentes sobre o mesmo assunto. EnglishChanges in the volume of Azorean emigration between 1920 and 1950 transformed the demographic pattern of the archipelago, introducing significant socioeconomic adjustments into its new demographic configuration. However, it seems safe to argue that on the whole, unlike later periods, this was not a period of significant change in the contents of the newspaper articles that were written on the subject, even if some conflicting opinions were occasionally produced
