ResumoAbstract In the copolymerization of D ‐ and L ‐propylene oxide by the catalyst diethylzine/methanol, unchanged monomer showed the same optical rotation as that of the starting monomer mixture. A symmetrical distribution in terms of D ‐ and L ‐nature of the catalyst system was suggested. The crystalline part of the polymer was found to have an increased content of that antipode which was in excess in the starting monomer mixture.
