RESUMEN Estudio sobre las ideas educativas de la poetisa Gabriela Mistral, educadora chilena que se inicio como maestra de escuela en su vida intelectual, y que con su obra literaria alcanzo el maximo galardon mundial de las Letras, el Premio Nobel de Literatura, en el ano 1945, con el cual recibio el reconocimiento universal. En sus ideas educativas recomendo la educacion practica, creativa y activa para la formacion de las juventudes, y convertir la Escuela en el corazon de la sociedad. En su participacion en la Reforma Educacional de Mexico se manifesto como pionera de la educacion popular y acogio algunos planeamientos de la Educacion Nueva y la Escuela Activa, que transmitio en sus ideas educativas desde Chile y la Liga de las Naciones Unidas a escala mundial. ABSTRAC Study above education ideas of the Poetry Gabriela Mistral chilean theacher, who began like school teacher in her intelectual life, and who with literary works sot the maximun letters prize, the Nobel Literary Prize, in 1945, with wich was world reknown. In her education ideas recommended the practical education, creational and active in youth formation, and become the school in the society heart. IN her perticipatiun in Mexico´s Educational Reform, she looked herself lisce pionner of popular education and retook some issues of New educationand active school, wich trnasmited in her education ideas since Chile league of Unity Nations in world wide scale.
