The point of view expressed will often depend on the nature of the branch of medicine practiced and the country from which the report emanates. Broadly envisaged, there are four principal schools of thought: (1) those who regard erythema nodosum as a specific independent entity; in this group are ranged the dermatologists (Tachau1) and an occasional internist (Lendon's nodal fever2); (2) those who consider it...Bibliography1.
