ResumoCyclamigenin B is shown to be 13β,28-epoxy-16,30-dioxo-oleanan-3β-ol (VII) by reduction to aegicerin (XII) and by oxidation of cyclamigenin B acetate to the corresponding acid IX acetolysis of which yields 3β,28-diacetoxy-16-keto-olean-12-en-30-oic acid (XVIII). The mass spectra of aegicerin acetate (XI), cyclamigenin B acetate (VIII), and the methyl ester acetate X are discussed.
