Geografia, movimento, imagem e representação: algumas considerações

Movimento, na sua variegada fenomenologia, e categoria imanente e transcendente. Em geografia, o seu papel sempre foi determinante, declinando nas acepcoes de mobilidade, migracao e fluxo, e, consequentemente, transporte, cartografia dinâmica e planejamento. Que implica, necessariamente, representacao, grafica e fotografica. Pelo seu carater ecumenico, o movimento ve-se pormenorizado em toda disciplina cientifica e humana, com abordagens especificas e diferenciadas: e o cerne da relatividade, da tectonica das placas, e a discriminante substancial entre fotografia e cinema, sinal e divisa entre vida e extincao, continuidade e fim, entre o mundo animado e o inanimado. Aspectos ligados a conceitos e percepcoes, a raciocinio e instinto, e, criticamente, a razoes e comportamentos politicos e economicos, ou seja, de organizacao social e laborativa. A relacao universal, embora relativa, entre espaco e tempo, dimensao que e lugar do movimento, e o ambiente, absoluto ou contextual, teorico ou real, onde diariamente se desenrola a humana e natural existencia. Abstract Movement, in its varied phenomenology, is an immanent and transcendent category. It has played a major role in Geography, connected with the concepts of mobility, migration and flow, and consequently, tansport, dynamic cartography and planning. This implies necessarily some graphic and photographic representation. Given its ecumenical nature, movement is present in every scientific and human subject, with specific and distinct approaches: it is the core of relativity and plate tectonics, a substantial between photography and cinema, as well as a sign of and a borderline between life and extinction, continuity and end, the animate and the inanimate world. Its features are connected with concepts and perceptions, with reasoning and instinct, and from a critical viewpoint, with political and economic motives and behaviors, that is, they are related to the organization of society and labor. The universal - though relative - relation between time and space, a dimension that represetns the realm of movement, is the absolute or contextual, theoretical or real environment where human and natural existence daily unfolds itself.
