ResumoThe MHD classification of the regimes is based on the relative values of the phase velocities versus the turbulent velocity dispersion σ and regular flow velocity V. Concepts of the turbosphere and the turbopause around the Sun are introduced as follows. In the solar atmosphere near the Sun one has σ>V. This domain may be termed as the turbosphere around the Sun. An opposite situation, σ<V, is characteristic for the fully developed supermagnetosonic solar wind flow sufficiently far from the Sun. The turbopause represents a transition region around the Sun, where the condition σ≈V is achieved. The turbopause delimits the sites of dominant plasma heating near the Sun from the sites of the dominant solar wind acceleration farther out.
