A obra de Francisco Rodrigues Lobo denominada A Primavera (1601) tem, desde ha muito tempo, assumido um papel importante na Literatura Portuguesa – novela designada como pastoril – ficcao narrativa em prosa do final do seculo XVI ate o seculo XVIII. Por meio de A Primavera, primeira novela pastoril portuguesa, a qual se utiliza apenas a lingua portuguesa, notava-se na escrita do autor uma certa influencia da lirica de Camoes nomeadamente nos temas do bucolismo e do desencanto. Pretende-se com este artigo explanarmos e problematizarmos algumas linhas tematicas de A Primavera, como modelo de conduta amorosa perfeita, que transportava a visao neoplatonica do amor com uma acao, moralizadora, perdida com a contrarreforma. Para tal, alem de darmos uma breve nocao sobre o autor e de que forma a sua obra foi estruturada, assim tambem como a Novela Pastoril foi reorganizada em termos de periodizacao literaria, pretendemos fazer a analise das paixoes amorosas e como essa tematica do amor aparece na obra A Primavera. LITERATURE, NATURE AND SPACE: REPRESENTATIONS OF LOVE IN PASTORAL NOVEL, OF FRANCISCO RODRIGUES LOBO Francisco Rodrigues Lobo’s A Primavera (1601) has long been assumed an important role in Portuguese Literature-Novel designated as pastoral-fiction narrative prose of the late sixteenth to the eighteenth century. Through this book, the first Portuguese pastoral novel, which uses only the Portuguese language, we can note that the author's written under influence of Camoes’ poetry in particular themes of bucolic and disenchantment. This article discusses some thematic issues in A Primavera, as a model of perfect conduct loving, carrying the Neoplatonic vision of love with a stock, moralizing, lost to the Counter-Reformation. To do so, besides giving a brief summary about the author and how his work was structured so as Novel Pastoral was reorganized in terms of literary periodization, we make an analysis of the amorous passions and how this them of love appears work in the spring.
