Resumo

This project includes three open air swimming pools as well as an indoor pool, which is situated in the central building. This pool ensures the continuity of swimming throughout the year. The structure covering the indoor pool is made up of eleven parabolic reinforced concrete arches. One of the sides of the roof serves as stand for spectators wishing to watch the outdoor pools. The stands and seats can be removed when advisable, and there are other ingenious arrangements, which render the whole project highly interesting technically and aesthetically. All pools have lateral windows, from which the swimmers can be watched continuously: which is highly useful both from a safety and an instructional point of view.
