The purpose of this paper is to study how the Chilean conservative political right builds its anticommunist discourse between 1941 and 1948, using the political strategy of fear to perform two actions: a) identify the threat of international communism for the welfare of the nation; b) explain the dangers of communism to actions of the Chilean social integrity. This defines their ideas and practices to legitimize their political exclusion of communism.
