Resumo

Checking Victor Frankl’s ideas in the year of his centenary In honor of the centenarian birth of the austrian psychiatrist and psychotherapist Viktor Frankl, the article presents a synthesis of his vast theoretical production. Frankl was the fouder of Logotherapy, which at times is called the meaning of life’s therapy according to its basic idea, which is that the human being lives motivated, basically by the will of giving life a meaning, for this reason man must pledge himself in the accomplishment of values in the form of creations, experiences and attitudes. Frankl’s theorization is historically situated in the existential-phenomenological field, which is one that most radically opposes itself to any reductionism to the human being’s understanding.
