SITUAÇÃO ECONÔMICA E PRODUTIVA DA CULTURA DOS CITROS NO ESTADO DA PARAÍBA

ResumoEnglishIn view of the importance of the citrus industry in the economy of the Paraiba, it was objectified with this revision to carry through a survey of the last productive data on the citrus industry in the State. In the Paraiba, the citrus industry predominates in Plateaus of the Borborema, Mesoregion Paraibano Wasteland and mainly in the microregion of the Paraibano Heath. As information of Agricultural Production (PAM) of 2009 the production of orange in the state of the Paraiba was verified in 60 cities, having totalized 6,073 tons where the producing greater was Alagoa Nova with 1.750 tons of orange in 350 ha of planted and harvested area, with value of production of R$ 438 a thousand Reals. Already the plantation of lemon in the state was identified in 31 cities, totalizing 2,778 tons with Sao Sebastiao of the Lagoa of Roca the city of bigger production (720 tons of lemon in 60 ha of planted and harvested area, with value of production of R$ 504 a thousand Reals). The plantation of mandarin in the state was identified in 09 cities, totalizing 19,514 tons where the producing greater was Matinhas with 6.800 tons of mandarin in 850 ha of planted and harvested area, with value of production of R$ 2,040 a thousand Reals. citrus enters produced in the Paraiba, the mandarin is the car-head of the activity in the State, being its production a little three times more than bigger that the production of bigger orange and seven times that the lemon production, exactly being produced in a lesser number of cities in relation to excessively citrus. portuguesTendo em vista a importância da citricultura na economia da Paraiba, objetivou-se com esta revisao realizar um levantamento dos ultimos dados produtivos sobre a citricultura no Estado. Na Paraiba, a citricultura predomina no Planalto da Borborema, mesorregiao Agreste Paraibano e principalmente na microrregiao do Brejo Paraibano. Conforme informacoes da Producao Agricola Municipal (PAM) de 2009 a producao de laranja no estado da Paraiba foi verificada em 60 municipios, totalizando 6.073 toneladas onde o maior produtor foi Alagoa Nova com 1.750 toneladas de laranja em 350 ha de area plantada e colhida, com valor de producao de R$ 438 mil reais. Ja o plantio de limao no estado foi identificado em 31 municipios, totalizando 2.778 toneladas com Sao Sebastiao da Lagoa de Roca o municipio de maior producao (720 toneladas de limao em 60 ha de area plantada e colhida, com valor de producao de R$ 504 mil reais). O plantio de tangerina no estado foi identificado em 09 municipios, totalizando 19.514 toneladas onde o maior produtor foi Matinhas com 6.800 toneladas de tangerina em 850 ha de area plantada e colhida, com valor de producao de R$ 2.040 mil reais. entre os citrus produzidos na Paraiba, a tangerina e o carro-chefe da atividade no Estado, sendo sua producao um pouco mais de tres vezes maior que a producao de laranja e sete vezes maior que a producao de limao, mesmo sendo produzida em um numero menor de municipios em relacao aos demais citrus.
