Educational Games and Gamification

The BlueJ environment was developed by a joint research group at Monash University, Melbourne, Australia, and the Maersk Institute at the University of Southern Denmark specifically for introducing object oriented programming to beginners. BlueJ provides an interactive environment for the teaching of Java that emphasizes visualization and experimentation. Panelists will demonstrate BlueJ and describe their experiences teaching Java using BlueJ.
