O segmento da medicina diagnóstica no Brasil

ResumoIn this decade, changes in the distribution of the income of the Brazilian economic regulations applied to the sources paying and the intense incorporation of technology to health services (worldwide phenomenon) are expanding the diagnostic medicine segment in the segment of health supplements. The goal of this article is to present the market of diagnostic medicine and point your prospects. The survey was conducted from the review of the literature on the segment and data analysis of CNES (Cadastro Nacional de Estabelecimentos de Saude) and the IBGE (Instituto Brasileiro de Geografia e Estatistica), pointing to the expansion of the number of establishments (32.9% between 2005/09), concentration of services in the South and Southeast regions, however, further expansion of the offer in the North and Northeast and increase of the offer in relation to services with hospitalizations. In the field of prospects, research suggests the increased demand for SADT (Servicos de Apoio a Diagnose e Terapia) and the incorporation of technological innovation.
