ResumoBrief Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy for Social Anxiety Disorder: A Case Study This case study refers to a brief intervention in cognitive-behavioral therapy for a case of Social Anxiety Disorder. The patient had trouble participating in social situations, which was bringing sorrow and damage to your life. The treatment was made in seven sessions and a follow-up after one month. At the end of the sessions, were observed changes in her operating model and a decrease of beliefs of inadequate and vulnerability that made her run away from social situations that caused anxiety. Thus, the Brief Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy brought advantages for a specific suffering and difficulty of improving her condition. The supervisions were important in this process, as it helped draw diagnosis, objectives and interventions in care.
